About me

I’m a Sr. Staff Engineer and Platform Data Scientist at Ayar Labs, where I’m part of the Data Pillar team responsible for engineering data across the company. I’m also a technical leader in our AI Cohort, helping colleagues, technical and non-technical alike, put AI to work: designing trainings and hackathons, reusable skills and monitoring resources.

I started out as an experimental particle physicist. I earned my PhD at Johns Hopkins working on the CMS experiment, then spent four years as a postdoc at CERN on ATLAS, where I coordinated operations and data acquisition for the ATLAS Pixel Detector. In 2019 I moved into industry through the Insight Data Science fellowship, then worked as a data scientist at Macy’s and as a data scientist and software engineer at LiveRamp before joining Ayar Labs in 2023.

Lately I’ve been learning about AI agents and the harnesses around them. My first attempt at building one, a self-evolving chip-design harness built in a day at a hackathon, is written up on the blog.

I still care about the same thing I did at CERN: learning something true from data, and explaining it in language anyone can follow.
